Gardening Workshops Hosted in Conjunction with the South Grant Street Community Garden

In additional to providing plots to students and neighbors, the Bridge Community Garden will join the Platt Park People’s Association (3PA) Green Team’s inaugural “Gardening through the Season” series of classes.  The goal of the series — offered at no cost to all interested in attending — is to teach sustainable gardening practices throughout the season.  Monthly classes are planned from April through October under the auspices of 3PA and Denver Urban Gardens’ South Grant Street garden. Classes will be held at the Bridge Garden (1819 S. High St.) and the South Grant Garden (1700 S. Grant St.).

  • October, “Put Your Beds to Bed: Cover Crops and Clean-Up.” Mark your calendars for the final workshop in the “Gardening Through the Seasons” series on Saturday, October 17 from 2pm – 4pm.  The Bridge Garden is the host venue for this event.  Gardeners, friends, neighbors and relatives are all welcome!
  • Late October, “Extending the Season: Building Cold Frames.” The Bridge Garden will be hosting another cold frame workshop. Stay-tuned for details.
